2025-Certified Beekeeper Course DISCOUNTED FOR EDUCATORS & STUDENTS
THE NEXT CLASS DATE: January 25 and January 26, 2025 - 8:30am- 5:00 PM (both days) at 202 Calhoun Street, in the first large room on the left inside the College of Charleston Math and Science Building. This location has adequate space for social distancing.
Parking is available (for a fee) at 34 Saint Philip Street, Charleston. Please note, parking meters elsewhere may be available but have 2-hour limits, Course instructors will NOT schedule breaks every 2 hours to move vehicles.
The Carta Bus stops almost directly in front of the building, so this may be an alternative means of transportation.
Important! For each person attending the class, please complete separate registrations. Our primary means of member communication is through email, so we must have each participant’s email address and name for the roster. Also, the South Carolina Beekeepers Association requires each member to maintain a separate email address for credential tracking. You can be comfortable knowing that mail addresses are never shared outside our organizations…Ever

Cost of the class includes (class fees are non-refundable):
One calendar year membership in CABA. (January-December)
Beekeeping book/training materials/instruction
Light refreshments. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage in a spill-proof container or insulated coffee mug. There is no refrigeration or ice machine available at the classroom site.
A hands-on hive visit with experienced beekeepers at a local apiary. The hive visit is scheduled when weather is warm enough to permit entering a hive without chilling the bees (generally in mid-March).
Please dress in layers, temperature in the room can vary at times.
