A club for all levels of Beekeepers and those interested in being stewards for our bee population.

Welcome to CABA! Join us, donate, learn, and explore.

Our mission is to engage in responsible practices that benefit honeybees, provide community outreach and education, encourage youth involvement, and to support health and sustainability in the coastal environment of South Carolina.

Who we are

Welcome to the Charleston Area Beekeepers Association (CABA) portal. Find information here to become a member, find a mentor, make purchases in the CABA Store, register for educational seminars and events, make donations to the Association, and most importantly find a wealth of knowledge to help you on your beekeeping journey.

Monthly Meetings

CABA is a volunteer organization comprised of members mainly from (but not limited to) the vicinity of Charleston, South Carolina, dedicated to promoting interest in honey bees by encouraging healthy beekeeping practices.

CABA meets monthly, usually on the second Saturday, at 9:00 am at the Charleston Diocese Assembly Hall, located at 901 Orange Grove Road, Charleston, SC 29407.

Please see the membership newsletter for updates and speaker topics. Don’t get the newsletter? Sign up to be a member!

Beekeeping Certification Class

Each January we offer our Beekeeping certification class. The cost of the class includes your membership in the CABA, Beekeeping book/training materials/instruction, and Light refreshments.

Mentorship & Education

The most important part of our club is our mentorship program. A members-only program that is instrumental in helping the next generation of beekeepers!
